An Arizona granny has landed in prison for three years after being convicted of running drugs to support her bingo habit.
Leticia Villareal, 62, was busted with 214 pounds of pot stuffed into the trunk of her car in 2005 on her way to a bingo game.
"She's got a bingo problem, which explains why an otherwise nice person might get sucked into something like this," a prosecutor told jurors.

A bunch of cats are getting sprung from prison in Vermont, where inmates have been taking care of felines for two decades.
Ziggy, Marmalade, Smokey, Shane and others are now considered inappropriate for the mission of the Southeast State Correctional Facility, a farm-turned-prison which has begun giving them away.

Students older than 16 are being allowed to smoke at a Belgian school - but only if they stand in a cage and wear a badge displaying an X-ray image of tobacco-damaged lungs.
"By wearing the badge, students express it is by their own free will they are damaging their health," said Claudine Lesaffre, assistant director of the Vesalius Institute in Ostende. "If this won't help, I don't know what to do anymore."

Responding to angry neighbors, a spa owner in Thailand has agreed to re-model a penis-shaped fence.
The owner of Sappaya Spa, on the island of Phuket, had erected 18 concrete Hindu "Shiva lingas" around the property in a bid to win good luck for the business.
"People can't stand them, so they called us for help," said Thawichart Intararit, chief of Phuket's culture office.
He said the owner has "promised to have workers use cement to reshape them into lotus flowers."
