Its just something I did not think I was watching. I got home today and the Dow Jones was a little under. 30 minutes after the bail out play did not pass it went down to -500 and went to -777 in 2 minutes back and forth and stopping at -777. All the banks are failing. the dollar is just becoming nothing. Is it going to be a new Depression?
I have seen many things but not the stock market by more then 10 points every few seconds. What if it keeps falling tomorrow? its all failing very fast.
Whats your take

This is going to get interesting on how it plays out in the coming months. I don't think we're going to get into a depression but a severe recession is inevitable at this point

you do know why they call it a GREAT depression right? because the entire stock market crashed - we are just seeing some big companies fall, a regular depression, i think there was another in the 70s and one just before that as well
and i agree with jak, more likely to stay at a recession than actually go into a depression, but we can only hope for that - i am just hoping it gets better
they rejected the $700b Bail out plan...so it'll be worse in the coming days before getting better

I did not say it was going to happen!
I said what if. Because there is no way that this can keep up and so something bad not happen.
