She whispered
And she whimpered
As the smoke danced with the stars
She felt like she was behind bars
Who knows who she could be?
Nobody does, as far as I see.
She just appeared,
Not mean, but feared.
Anyone could tell she was heartbroken,
Never outspoken.
She was really a beauty,
As far as anyone could tell not moody.
She was just sad.
Not bad or mad.
Never speaking
Almost looking as if never breathing.
She let the flames lick her slowly.
Her eyes looking out dully
She never said a word
And left, just like a bird.
