Ok this may get me infracted but i wanted to know what you all think about jailbreaking of the ipod touch if you do not know what that is it means hacking ur ipod it is technically not illegal hacking because u are doing it it to ur own ipod touch but some believe it is wrong and it is illegal i personally don't think there is anything wrong with it I have done it to my old one before i got it replaced because of a faulty speaker connection and im thinking of doing it again but i wanted to know do u guys think its ok to do it or do u think it is illegal

Not illegal, since your not stealing anything.
It's just a major way of hacking.
And it's on your own risk.

Apple says that if you **** up your ipod jail breaking it, they're not going to be held liable to replace it.

exactly my point but now these hacker idiots have found away to crack the apps from the appstore and get them without paying for them but thats not what i hacked mine for

He's not saying that he can't hack **** from the apple store, he's just saying that if he jailbreak's his ipod, people might think that he's using it for that sole purpose....i think?

as for "jailbreaking" - no comment on that - usually people caught get prosecuted and sued - not sure if Apple does that though, some other companies are hardcore copyrighted people

nah apple just voids ur ipods warranty they don't get into any legal bussiness

I'm pretty sure that it is Legal unless you use it to make money off of. Such as buying phones and Jailbreaking it and then sell it for more. It's just like install an emulator to your PsP basically. Your allowed to do it, but you can't make profits from it.
