I was thinking of back catalogue of games that I haven't played yet and it got me thinking of games that have been mentioned by other forum members, that I've seen highly rated on sites like IGN and so on, that I have yet to play or probably will never play. So, I created this thread for others to share or comment on games that we have wanted to but have not yet played.

fallout 3-i enjoyed oblivion and some people say that it's oblivion with guns

Well 1-4 were all great games, no reason 5 should be terrible. There not rushing the game, so my guess is, it's going to turn out pretty awesome.

As for socom, not really sure. I haven't got to play the ps3 yet... He's been hogging it the whole time. I asked my brother and he said every things working for him. So it's fixed I guess?

There's IIRC 17 missions, I got through 10 on my rental, they were pretty decent and fun but also pretty easy. Then 11th mission was ungodly hard and I just gave up and took it back, worth the rental and buy now as I'm sure you buy a used copy for less than 20

Yea there was one i think released in 2007 for cell phones. that was a serious disapointment to me i would like to see one on the ps 3 but i haven't heard any talk so i'll keep my fingers crossed! fear effect 3 never made it pass development but i wish it did!

Well don't get down to much man i am a hard core silent hill fan and 5 was not that great. It had the feel of a sh series but afer playing a game like sh4 the room there is no comparison. I was so disipointed with 5 because i anticipated to much i was hoping for something more like 4, but it was still alot of fun. So don't get your hopes too high

Not true at all. By far, it's the best FF.

FF Tactics, FF 1, FF 6, and FF 8 all come before it.
I'd go as far to say that FF 9 and FF 4 are worth playing and better.

There's a reason Final Fantasy 7 is so popular...it's because it's good!

The cast of characters is extremely memorable, every song is good and fits the mood of the game, the battle system is one of the better ones i've played (for final fantasy...i don't like ATB though) and the plot is good.

I've played through 7, 8, most of 12, most of 4, and have played parts of 3 and 10...and 7 was the best. (and yes, I played 4 and 8 before I played 7.)

There's a reason Final Fantasy 7 is so popular...it's because it's good!

And the reason that FF7 took off so well is because it was the first amazing, good detailed game launched for the original PS. Because of kids like me who turned like 15 when it first came out and we bought it right up. I remember spending my birthday money plus 20 bucks ($54.99) originally to get it. You can ask Eriadu (Dani) - she'll vouche, she was there when I got it.

It was the first real, kick-ass RPG for the PlayStation that everyone could finally get involved with that loved all the basic turn-based RPG games they've played for years. Now, Finally 3D! A vast world! Extra characters! So yeah - it has sold millions, had the best game of the year for 2 years running, and yes its the most memorable...

Yes, the game has memorable characters and a good storyline, but just because the next person said it was amazing, doesn't mean I followed the crowd.

I just though for as big as the game was, so much more could have been done. The original thought behind bringing Aerith back. The weapons and their random destruction - but then they just went off and chilled, waiting for you to stomp them.

And I would have rather had Zack as a main character than Cloud. Whiney, whiney Cloud Strife. The casting and everything is awesome, but I'm all about the old school stuff, being that I'm nearly a decade older than half the members on the board. Lol. ;)

I'll jump in on this one. FF7 is a great game and I think it has major sentimental value for a lot of people who experienced Final Fantasy for the first time with it. And yeah, like Jeff said, it was one of the first really beautiful RPGs to come out, and it certainly deserves a lot of props for that. I love the characters, the storyline is memorable, the materia and battle systems are cool and the music totally kicks ass.

For me, though, the best Final Fantasy will always be 6. There are a lot of similarities between it and 7--Materia vs. Espers, evil empire and a group of rebels, etc. Though the graphics aren't nearly as good, the story feels more complete than 7's ever did.

I love the hell out of Def Jam: Fight for New York. EA pissed me off with that Icon crap. Why would you not just add more characters, up the graphics, and change the story? I love Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, too, though it wasn't much to me. I still love it.
