AVG Free is pretty good...feel free to search it
the best way to get rid of all viruses is to wipe your hdd and start fresh lol...i plan on doing that to my hdd at the end of the year if I can't get a second hdd to run another OS or something
but you should really be careful on what you download and what sites you visit...i checked a laptop for a friend the other day and she had a crapload of viruses that was slowing up her computer lol...she had to get a new HDD cuz there was too many for me to find manually and anti-virus programs doesn't really help find them all and if it does find some, it may be false..
good luck getting ur computer virus free

I found Mcafee to be a huge pain and not the best.
AVG Free serves me well.

OArmor is good, they were giving out a year free. Cant remember if they still are. AVG and Avast are the top ones after that

Avast and clamwin are the only good known free one's left. For paid i guess NOD32 is one good antivirus with good performance.

Kaspersky is pretty good, it doesnt use much ram. To be specific, Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 has it all <3. But we are talking free here, Avira is pretty good on that :D

AVG seems too slow my computer when its starts. Same for Microsof Securty. So I chose Avast.

Good choice, sir! I use Avast, and it is pristine. So long as you turn off the voice notifications then it's perfection.
