Oh awesome, well doubly awesome actually. I built bridges. Which is a stupid job. With absolutely no civilian transfer. (floating bridges) Yeah, my recruiter kinda f-ed me. But I was only really joining for the money anyways. Which turned out to not be very good. Atleast housing was free and bill less. Well not 100%. Have you given any thought as to what job you want? I wanted to do Naval Intelligence, then the Navy Recruiter said because I had my GED I had to have some ungodly amount of college credits (like 1. I looked at him like he was smoking crack, said "I'll go Army then." Walked out and next door to the Army recruiter. Which I am sure he did not care.
I could have gotten Nuke but I...didn't want to be in a Sub :/. I'm Un designated right now which will suck for at least three months on a ship. The only good thing about my program is I get to Apprentice for any job on the ship. Then qualify for it and take it. Any job. And after 24 hours you can post links / avatars / signatures / anything else that's blocked. I assume it's to deter spammers.
4 years. Got less then that on IRR (in active reserves). You agree to a 8 yr contract and if you don't do your 8 you just go inactive, at which they can call you back if they want. I really didn't like the military period. I didn't like my chain of command, or my job. I couldn't wait until my 4 years was over. I got back from Afghanistan and was like peace out guys! They were sad to see me go, and I was sad to loose some good friends (we still facebook) but I miss being able to hang out with people. Being home where I hardly have friends kinda sucks. I don't get out very much. Oh well though. How long does it take before I can post a picture or Ava? Just curious. What is your job in the Navy?
MEPS Physical was...surprising. TURN AROUND GRAB YOU'RE ANKLES. They seem pretty uh...forceful with physicals now a days. How long were you in the Army for?
Navy DEP. I remember those days. Just Army. The physical was no fun! I guess I am not going to bed considering no one seemed to bother to tell me they were going to sleep.
