Edit: Oops, meant to edit this into the message below but posted an entirely new message, ah well. I was thinking, a lot of people here can play an instrument.. Maybe we should make a thread, like, "GF Music Collab" and see if anyone wants to pitch in. That's if we decided to write our own. I think it could be pretty sick. Sorry for messin with your idea, btw :P You've got me excited, haven't done an online collaboration in a lon time
I've done something similar on a music forum. Was a lot of fun. We wrote our own songs though.. We should try that! Unless you'd rather do a cover, either way, count me in!
It's all good, it's all that I've got. Was thinking of us both learning a wicked sick song, playing both parts on our video cameras, and putting it together. An international e-song Gamers Forum style, just if that sounds like your kinda thing.
Yup, not really the best way to record though. Hahah, I'm curious..
What kind of gear do you have for recording guitar? Just a cam and mic? I have a crazy idea is all....
Yeah, I'll try running it in my browser or just closing crap lol. I SHOULD be on with you guys tomorrow night, had work this afternoon and played cards all night haha.
Saph told us about what happened man. That sucks! Hopefully you'll get everything worked out
No problem man, any time. Haha, yeah, those youtube vids generally aren't very helpful. Oh, and if you're in need of a good tablature editing software. TuxGuitar is awesome and free. Has a great interface and lots of options, and you can use it to read and write GuitarPro files. .:: TuxGuitar ::. Open Source Tablature Editor :: TuxGuitar
Thanks for the help man. I'm used to seeing YouTube videos on it and they go "do this" and then just throw it all into your face. Wanna pick up some tricks to throw together and make stuff my own. Thanks again for the help, I'm gonna start practicing soon now haha.
Thanks bro. If you haven't already, learning the various scales is always a great place to start. Work on hammer ons/pull offs and playing them fluidly with the rest of the riff, also practice arpeggios as they're also a key part of soloing. Accuracy is key, so start out slow and work your way up. If you start to make mistakes, take it down a notch. Edit: And if you ever have any questions feel free to ask. I'm no expert, but I'll always answer the best I can.
