Damn.. so it'd more than likely be easier to just replace it for what I want to do. Edit: Also, I'm having some trouble connecting to GameSurge in Xchat.. keeps timing out or saying connection denied.
Missed you on IRC by like 30 seconds. So yeah..you can upgrade parts but there are limitations. The CPU would be upgradeable if you find one of the same slot type, same with the RAM. The Hard drive should be universal (2.5") so any laptop hdd should work. But Graphics card and motherboards are the tricky ones. They are usually custom made for the case/series so it's harder and a lot more expensive to replace/upgrade.
Ubuntu and Windows are very different OS' so yes there are huge differences when it comes to running programs. They aren't run the same way and most programs used in windows won't work. There are ways to run programs but it's not as simple. I don't have as much experience with Ubuntu, you could contact jaykub and talk to him about it. I use other version of linux like fedora, centos, and mandrake and I know there are differences between them. To run windows programs, I usually run it using a program called WINE. But I haven't tried that in ubuntu.
I know you don't care much for Ubuntu, but how do I get it so I can install stuff/use installed programs from Windows in Ubuntu? And is there a whole lot difference between the two in usability for gaming/usual stuff?
good luck, hopefully someone there with exp with the software can help
Yeah.. reinstalling didn't work... to adobe forums!
Haha thanks for trying. Seems my computer has taken a stance and doesn't want to let me do anything I want to when I want to.
hm...try reinstalling. I never owned premier but I had similar issues with other programs with the first problem you had and running as administrator helped me. Not sure of this one sorry. Try searching through the adobe forum and see if there is a fix for it.
"Premiere Pro has encountered an error. [..\..\src\ImporterProcessClient.cpp-127]"
try running the program as an administrator (if you're using win7).
