    Guitar Hero 6 ??
Rumour has it that Guitar Hero 6 is on its way....

Do we need another Guitar Hero?

Some people feel that its lost its way a bit, too much main stream music and needs to go back to its roots of good old Rock & Roll.

What do you think, be interesting to hear other views?

I know my daughter will be happy, can't get her off of thing on both the DS and Playstation!

rock band 3 is coming too.

I think there needs to be more metal and rock on it, less pop stuff. we need some slayer, some Queen, some Guns N Roses, some Van Halen, some Rush, some Death.

and i don't like how guitar hero has become rock band.

I thought you could download songs and all that jazz for the latest guitar hero. They could just concentrate on creating more (and better) songs to sell via the download option instead of a whole new game. I mean, what's gonna be new about the BRAND new one? Look at the differences between guitar hero 1, 2 and 3.... barely any.

I understand guitar hero not being centred around rock music, it is afterall "guitar hero", not "rock hero". As for it get back to bands which aren't mainstream, meh. Like, it has stuff from the sex-pistols... who are supposed to be punk, aka be rebeliious and un-structured. Yet, guitar hero has structured it, which (to me) dis-agrees with what that music is meant to stand for.... ya'know?

Either way, i shan't get it (my guitar hero is for the ps2... i dunoo if the new ones are oiut for the old console and yada yada)

You can, but they feel the need to milk the brand for all it's worth. With all the GH games that are mains and also GH that focuses on particular bands, is anyone really shocked that 6 is on the way? I hope not, Activision is writing a book on how to milk a popular franchise to death in a short period of time

This is exactly what I was thinking. As long as GH is still selling, and it is and will, we're gonna be in for whatever they can continue to crap out. Bring it on, GH6!

I personally haven't been following the ..."series," but if there are enough songs on the game that actually sound like they comprise what my personal opinion would label a fun and replayable playlist, then, sure, I'd get it. I suppose this stands to reason that I'm just another one of the goons whose money they're stealing. Oh well.

Why do people see the need to release a new Guitar Hero every year? This series was cool when it came out, but now it's just like "whatever i don't care"

I want Guitar Hero Metallica though, and i'm probably going to download both Megadeth albums for play on rock band 2, since they're one of my favorite bands.
