Amazing Shader Mod
Was checking to see if the water shader mod had been updated yet and stumbled across this: Sonic Ether's Unbelievable Shaders
And it truly is unbelievable.. I never would have imagined Minecraft could look this beautiful.
Here are some screenies I took with my favorite 64 and 128x textures.

I highly recommend you guys install it and check it out for yourselves, but keep in mind it's a bit buggy (nothing major) and I did take a pretty significant hit to my FPS; With everything set to look as good as possible I'm getting a steady 30-40 while loading chunks (perfectly playable, but that's what I get with Cyrsis maxed, so this does take a good rig to run)
Also, here's a vid so you can see it in motion:

Do you and Dili still plan on building a new PC, or did you guys put that on hold for a bit?
-
I want it...one day I'll have an awesome gaming rig.
Till then I'll just have to drool all over my keyboard watching youtubers who have this.
-
I'm jealous. I'm going to go on YouTube and pretend I'm playing.

I'm going to have to try this out, My have to allocate more RAM to be able to run it with my 128x texture pack. If I can get it to work right, Couldn't before :/.
Any idea om what that texture pack is in the first picture?

They're all my screenshots, so of course :P It's Azas Arid, which I've already recommended to you but you didn't like.
Edit: Just about all those are Aza's actually. I didn't post all of the shots I took. Anyway, 4th one down is Swiss Rustic, using their old textures (Their updated pack is still excellent, one of the best available, high detail, virtually zero grain, but I still much prefer their older work) the rest are Aza's

We have some parts for it, so it'll just be an ongoing thing, I think. We got a nice display recently :3
I want to buy a nice laptop, though. Mine just sucks :( Just need a new job now that we've moved @_@

oh lol, well I think it looks much better with the shader mod.
Figures, can't get it to work.. lol
Started with a fresh Minecraft.jar, installed the OptiFine HD fix, deleted the META all that stuff. Ran minecraft, worked fine.
Then I went to install the Shader mod. Extracted it to another folder on desktop. opened the EXE and installed it. Ran Minecraft, selected one of my worlds and when I try to join it, nothing happens. My game will basically freeze on that screen after it loads the world. It leaves me sitting at the World Select screen and unable to click on anything.
So I started with a fresh minecraft again, reinstalled everything about 2 or 3 times and did the same thing. I even downloaded the 1.1.02 shader and went into the minecraft.jar and replaced the shaders with the newer ones. Still does the same thing. Read through FAQ's and trouble shooting, doesn't seem anyone else is having this problem. Did I install something wrong?
