EXCLUSIVE: Sony drops price of PS3 in UK

Plus introduces 40GB model in time for Christmas
yup sony droped the price of the ps3 in the uk.

Not sure why most found it implausible that Sony would introduce the cheaper and less featured model. They are not going to give up this early.

MS should just come out and quit playing games and cut Sony's throat by cutting the premium to $199US.

$200us is practically nothing, it costs $560us here for a premium. plus i thought you were a StONeY fan? if microsoft make sony fall through, microsoft are the generous type and would lend sony money, but sony has like 4 factories they can sell to toshiba still and just rent out a line or 2 for themselves.

its good that they are dropping the price but it still isnt enough dam it. Although i guess people may buy the ps3 christmas because of the price dropped abit.. as long as a good game comes out for it at the same time

there's good game out now and quite coming this fall.

theres hardly any good games that have came out for the ps3. If they have then they are also on the 360 lol

There is Ratchet and Clank and MGS4. But I'm waiting for GT5 and Tekken. I think I'll get a PS3 for them

the ps3 is still more expensive than the one in the US lol the 40 gb one costs about the same as the 60 gb here
