I can't post a thread for seomthing I haven't done

I am trying to post a new thread to General Gaming, but I am not allowed because apparently 'You are only allowed to post URLs to other sites after you have made 10 posts or more'

But there are no links in my thread. There is nothing even resembling a URL.

No emoticons. Presence of punctuation may be above average in comparison to most posts, but it is within the boundaries of English grammar. I guess I could post individual paragraphs, editing the post to completion. And then change the section it sees as a URL.

EDIT: Well that did it. Apparently, upon referencing an ini file, I had written (dot)ini and the forum thought it was a URL.
