Equilibrium

Anyone here watch the movie Equilibrium?

It is about a futuristic colony that survived the third world war and a group of people control the minds of others. They take away all the human feelings and human emotions with some serum and those that don't take them are Sense Offenders and they get burned....

Christian Bale is the main actor there, Taye Diggs is there too -

 

he gets his face cut off at the end lol

Christian Bale was the best man they had. He had the best skills and one day he decided not to take the serum and then ends up working with the sense offenders and then kills all the bad guys.

I will admit that hollywood went overboard with all these movies that feature future colonies with one group of people controlling and they are bad and a hero comes along and saves the day - Two examples are Aeon Flux and Ultraviolet.

This movie came out in 2002 I believe and I liked the action. I like movies with good action - lots of shooting and blowing up stuff. But 80% of the time, the bad guys just stood there while christian bale killed them all....but action was good.

Story wasn't that great but i watched it at 2 AM so It was alright for the time lol.

Just a brief description :D Anyone else watch this?

I had it on DVD. I loved the ending but it wasn't one of my favourite movies and I didn't think I'd watch it again so I sold it.

definitely not one of my favorites movies either lol, i enjoyed it for the time being

Lol I would agree that it's better than Aeon Flux and Ultra Violet. I had them on DVD too. They were awful movies, especially Ultra Violet.

oh yeah, they both sucked - i am glad i didnt pay to watch either - they played on the movie channels not long after release in theaters lol, didn't sell much

but i watched Ultraviolet cuz Milla Jovovich is the actress lol - thought it would be good - very wrong

The thing I hated about Ultraviolet was that there was no big fight scene. All these action movies should have one.

yeah i know...she didn't even try and she killed everybody - and most of the time she was just running

and also those fight scenes where they are turning the camera and then it goes behind a person or a tree and when it turns around from that and shows everybody - the bad guys fall and die....i hate those

equilibrium actually show you all the fight scenes, didn't cut off
