Just fyi, we still need a whitelist :(
Also, the spawn is protected for some reason and no one but OPs can do anything to it, not even open doors. Which is kind of a problem :(

It turns out they can interact with objects that require a right click, but nothing that requires a left click (digging, etc). They CAN open doors, but only with a right click, not a left click.

Is the server gonna be reset again for 1.9?

Can't be too far off, 1.9 pre-release was released a few days ago.

No, there's no reason for it to be o.o It was reset for 1.8 because stuff like NPC villages, abandoned mines, new biomes, and strongholds were all being released. Anything new in 1.9 will be generated when we move out from spawn - there's no way we'll cover too much space in that time period. It would have been annoying in the old world trying to find new chunks that hadn't been generated before, but won't be with this world.
