Demond "Bob" Sanders (born February 24, 1981 in Erie, Pennsylvania) is an American football safety for the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League. He was drafted by the Colts in the second round of the 2004 NFL Draft. He played college football at Iowa.

In his NFL career, Sanders has earned two Pro Bowl selections, been named AP NFL Defensive Player of the Year and earned a Super Bowl ring in Super Bowl XLI. Nicknamed "The Hitman" because of his hard hits and tackles. Another nicknamed that has stuck is "The Sandman" because of his last name.

Born with a name (Demond)[1] that was difficult for many to pronounce correctly, Sanders asked his mother if his name could be changed. His mother suggested "Bob" as a nickname, and the name stuck. His parents are Jean and Marion Sanders.

Erie (pronounced /ˈɪəri/) is an industrial city on the shore of Lake Erie in the northwestern corner of the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. Named for the lake and the Native American tribe that resided along its southern shore, Erie is the state's fourth-largest city (after Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and Allentown), with a population of 104,000.[2] Erie's Metropolitan Area consists of approximately 481,000 residents. The city is the seat of government for Erie County.

Erie is in proximity to Cleveland, Ohio; Buffalo, New York; and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Once teeming with heavy industry, Erie's heavy manufacturing sector now consists mainly of plastics and locomotive building. Known for its lake effect snow, Erie is in the heart of the rust belt and has begun to focus on tourism as a driving force in its economy. More than four million people each year visit Presque Isle State Park,[3] for water recreation, and a new casino named for the state park is growing in popularity.

Erie is known as the Flagship City because of the presence of Oliver Hazard Perry's flagship Niagara.[4] Erie has also been called the Gem City because of the "sparkling" lake.[4]

he Bluenotes is a low cost Canadian brand and was established in 1984. It has since developed into one of Canada's leading denim retailers and used to be called Thrifty's.

In the early 1990s popular American labels like The Gap and Old Navy began to enter the Canadian market and soon Thrifty's was unable to compete in terms of cost and style. Thirfty's 107 stores were bought out by US retailer American Eagle Outfitters from Dylex and rebranded the store with the Bluenotes name in 2000.

However this proved to be a difficult challenge for the big American retailer, and after several years of losing money the division was sold to privately owned YM Inc. in 2004.
