The only thing I can think of when I see people that can't play a game without HAVING to get all of the achi's:

lulz But I honestly couldn't care less. To me it's all just unnecessary added fluff. There are a few rare circumstances where I might try to complete all achi's, and that's typically only if A) There are not a bajillion ridiculously annoyingly impossible ones and B) They are FUN and funny. Like the DeathSpank games, there were probably about 10 achi's total for each game and they were hilarious.

Plus, most games have those achievements that you get JUST for playing the game. I hate, hate, hateeeeeee that. "Go to the forest and find the scroll of BJ." "You did the thing that we told you to do, that you HAD to do to progress the game. Here, have an achi!!" -__-

Sometimes I just feel like trophies make me play games for the wrong reasons

I love them,The only thing I do not like is a long story like in Final Fansaty,or battlefield 1 where theres a chapter and little missions on to that :(
