PS3 Slim $299

This is true, what is also true that they have stopped making phats long ago and when the last phat sells in a store it'll be longer available

I think it looks really ugly lol. Kind of reminds me of the Sega Genesis. It just looks like one of the older consoles. There are no cute chrome parts on it or anything.

But it really wouldn't matter to me what it looks like, as long as it runs fine.

I think the matte is a good idea because l the phats attract dust and finger prints like no other.

O really, i thought where the eject and startup buttons were was chrome, guess not, i wish they would of made it more customizable, with like different faceplates and stuff.

At least you can still change HDD's. Install Linux is gone though.

ya, i never really cared to install linux on my PS3, ill just stick to my laptop for internet browsing, and ill leave the gaming to my PS3

Not only do I not know how to use Linux, but I heard from people that do that PS3 isn't all that good for Linux. The only times I used PS3 as a internet browser was when the computer was being used by someone else and I wanted to get online right quick

nah, i doult it, i watched theyre video on youtube and they said it, and now its all over the web, im positive the prices on both will be $299, i have had my PS3 since i think like 28 days after the release of it, and it broke like 5 mouths ago, so i was waiting for the price to drop.

Phats are most definitely 299, but they are going fast. more and more I read stores running out, it won't be long till it's Slim only.
