Stupid Stuff. Lets all give him an award for having good ideas that he hasn't made happen yet :yes: And honestly i don't know what's so incredible about his ideas

wow. this is dumb. so far, he hasn't really done anything, but the thing that really annoys me is that there are much more deserving people out there who have actually done stuff that deserves merit

That's a great point, the people who really did deserve it, people who actually did something, don't get it because someone who has 'ideas' got it.

different categories in every award.
I agree that this one is pointless but the Nobel prize is the highest honor you can receive and no one can tell them how to hand out their awards and what categories they should make.
The most prestigious are the ones you get in the medical and science fields. Although Obama's medal has prestige, it's no where close to the Big Bang Theory.

he does do stuff just not publically, presidents can help the country without anybody knowing.

I don't think it was, if we dug a little deeper I think this was a slap to his face. Many people pointed out when he was nominated how undeserving he was, considering all the people who never received a Nobel peace prize.
I have read articles that could better explain why this is a political dig against the president, and how he didn't actually want to win it. Lots of people are going to laugh at this and it draws a lot of attention to what he has really done so far, when his goals are obviously long term.
Its more realistically, most likely an attack on his reelection. I will do some digging and see what I cant find. But one thing is for sure, the spin on this was very different before it looked like he was going to win it.
The process for nominating a person for the award can be corrupt, but I wonder who makes the final call and how fault proof it really is.

i despise most politics and foreign policy etc .. and i honestly don't see why obama deserves it .. there are plenty of less high profile people that are more worthy imo
