I wouldn't even touch a Dell or even another HP (I do own an hp and never had problems but I don't use it, and my friends have had tons of problems with both of the above mentioned brands). I have heard tons of people hating on their Dell... I also own an asus netbook, and while it is NOT a gaming computer by far... I have never had a problem with it until it got stepped on... It got fixed and now it won't upload the restore disk... So, we are going to try to get it fixed again! But yeah, it was a really good computer... I LOVE my Toshiba for the most part...

I prefer ASUS, they have more reliable parts. Toshiba makes the hardware for ASUS, and they're normally good quality laptops. Plus Dell is junk lol.

I've owned a Dell and an Asus, out of the two I would definitely choose the Asus.

Dell isn't reliable. If I were to pick between the two, I'd probably go for the Asus, but then again, I never owned an Asus computer but I know they make great hardware.
None of my Asus computers have ever fallen apart, broke or malfunctioned. Asus ages well.

Every Dell I have had has...died.

    I would go with Asus.
