What an absolutely fantastic game this is. I racked up many hours on this as a kid, and I'd probably still go back to it now if my PSone was still here.

I don't see how Gamespot gave the entire series bad reviews though. This is a great, but not perfect, game, same with the rest of the series. Of course, if you don't like Digimon, you might not enjoy them as much.

Cause Pokemon is the ruling games. They always compare it to them, thus they dock it points for copying it and not having a "as fun" battle system.

It's not even that, the games are completely different. They just gave them bad reviews

They ones for the DS have all been compared to Pokemon. But that could just be the ones I read. Personally I enjoy the games and it is a shame that a new consul digimon has not been released for some time.

Digimon World 1 that I reviewed here is nothing like pokemon...2 is sorta similar because you collect digimon like you would collect pokemon, 3 is more like final fantasy. but they all have bad reviews when they're awesome games

I agree with you, that's why I said DS games being compared to Pokemon. Cause the consul games are not. Anyways that does not really matter cause a Consul MMORPG digimon wold be awesome considering that there are more digimon than Pokemon and that a digimon does not have set evolution it has multiples. And talking bout the games make me wish I still had them =/
