Yep, the Intellivision had it along with the ColecoVision.

You forgot Pong and the Magnavox Odyssey, they were what started video games!

Like I said above. I used the major gaming companies... Atari, Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo.

Dude it was freaking pong man. Pong was big and kickbutt.

I think the very first gaming console is a good console to start with in the review of "consoles from the start"

or at least "it all started with 'pong' and the magnavox 'odyssey'" at the beginning

Most gamers say that gaming started with Atari. The odyssey was powered by batteries and did poorly in the markets compared to the Atari. It isn't a well know console and it isn't a MAJOR console. By what you wrote you it seems that you don't even understand that "pong" was made by Atari. Not forgetting that the Odyssey had pong, but it was terrible compared to the Atari version. My point is that the technology wasn't there until the Atari 2600. I will say it once again, because I seem to have to repeat my self to you..... Most gamers say that the first console is Atari. If you don't think so that's fine, I honestly don't care. Don't post here saying it isn't.

I'm sorry, but you really need to include the Odyssey. I mean, like he said, it started it all. Even though it sucked in sales, and graphics, and maybe ran on batteries, IT STARTED VIDEO GAMES. To say Atari started it is like saying the PS3 was made before the 360.
Atari was the first popular console, true, but not the first.

Did you read the last sentence in my post... If you really want it to be in there, go make your own thread and review....
