you can't play modern games on linux, well most distros of linux but I believe Red Hat Linux can play a few modern games, but I've never tried it - you can still play the old school games like pac man and stuff on it lol, I run Fedora Core 8 at home and it has a few games in there, never tried them though

XP. Because lots of games aren't compatible with Vista.

Windows XP is a lot better in my opinion if you are going to be mostly gaming on it. I find that Vista just had too many errors and incompatibility issues with many games.

I prefer XP for gaming. I found vista crashing my system and making display like 128colors sometimes.

Such as?...Anything that I've ever had problems running on xp could be run through compatibility mode anyway. Ive never had a game that couldn't be run on vista, not just vista but the 64bit version of vista. Granted there are some old old games that will give you problems but I feel as if saying lots of games aren't compatible with vista is a huge exaggeration...

Anyways I prefer playing game on Vista 64, guys your really going to have to move on some day because dx10 definitely is better. Not to mention that vista 64 is more stable as I understand it than xp 64. And playing games in 64bit mode is definitely a FPS booster (Crysis for example).
