Haha, yes it is, but the desk made me get a new mouse, the glass messes with the cordless one I think.

I'm going to assume you had an optical mouse? If so, was it on the glass when you tried using it? If so, that's the problem. :P I have a glass one myself, and because the glass is transparent, not opaque, the laser hits the surface and goes through instead of bouncing back.
