Nope, no micro-transactions needed, at all, apparently. I posted a thread on it yesterday in the Shooter section. OA isn't free, no. OA was a reboot of ArmA II, with new content, so they will still be selling that. However, ArmA II will be free, just the multiplayer though.

Just added some more facts and a few screenshots.

Could someone explain to me what Arma is, this is the first time I've heard of it, is it a first person war shooter or something?, Is it worth getting?

Its a war sim game, you can play it both in first person and third person, I made a review on it
