PS4 said they're system will play older games...in one way or another. I'm thinking PS1/2/3 games onto the store that you buy and download, kinda like it is now. I hate that they took out the backwards compatibility through discs, my launch PS3 actually just crapped out and I really don't wanna replace it D:

So far this thing looks like it's catering to the "COD ROOLZ PLEI REAL GAMEZ U GuyZ! NFL14 GAME OF THE YEAR F YEAAAA" kinda crowd. I really hope it doesn't go that route, though or I'll just be buying a PS4.

Some think they may use that streaming service they bought for BC.

The same way as the 360 did. You can take the harddrive out from the 360 and it'll still run, you just can't save any games. I assume that they use some type of SSD to run the OS for the 360, I don't know for sure though. You would except they'd use the same type of thing for Xbox One. Tried to find out what they use for the 360, but couldn't find anything.

Ahhhh, ok. That makes sense then. I figured it must have an SSD for the OS but I wasn't sure.

Just read this: "Microsoft’s Mattrick says he doesn’t think compatibility is really a problem. He said only 5% of customers play older games on a new videogame system anyway, so spending time and money to develop technology to allow them to play older games isn’t worth it.

“If you’re backwards compatible, you’re really backwards,” he said."

I think the operating system was firmware for the 360 integrated somewhere on the mainboard. I would expect to see something similar. I'll have to wait until closer to launch and more info has been released to really decide. Right now I'm leaning towards neither and just upgrading my PC more.

Never owned an Xbox, probably never will. Nothing I've seen of this interests me, and all of these 'features' seem pretty useless. Basically, Mizel has already said everything I would have said.

Also, that presenter annoyed the **** out of me, not sure why.

Edit: I do like the design though.

SSD would be so expensive though, Also both Sony and Microsoft sure set up their consoles to be really expensive -_-

Yeah, that's true. It's probably what Ziek said, integrated on the main board somewhere.

I also just read that MS just announced that Indie gaming companies won't be allowed to publish on the One.... Which means companies that did games like The Walking Dead (Tell Tale) won't be allowed to put their games on the system (without getting a publisher OR paying MS a good bit of $) >_<

That's almost as smart as making a windows OS without the option of having a start button. Silly Microsoft.

    Someday Linux will rule all.

Well, that's kind of completely retarded. Hello Minecraft port for PS4? I can't believe they'd do that. The indie section of the marketplace has so many great games as well. Now I'm leaning quite a bit more towards PS4 after that, or a new GFX card.
