Of Neon Genesis: Evangelion?
Thats like a Classic anime, one of the grandfathers of anime today.
Like- Hellsing, Berserk and akira. You must watch them all.

Neon Genesis, Gundam Wing, Death Note, Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo.

Plus the childhood ones, Pokemon, digimon, dragon ball z.
