bad idea, 2 months later, the forum went completely dead and it eventually shut down cuz the new owner had no idea how to do ANYTHING

i eventually left, had 4 digit post count there which sux - forum is not up anymore though

that reminds me of what happened at nexgenwars, the owner was a teen and well really was never there but there was still a decent steady membership of like 50 ppl and then he sold the site for like 7500 and after like a month of contacting the new owner nearly everyone moved to a different forum, I bet the new owner feels crappy now knowing he's going to lose a lot on the site. he even tryed a last second ditch to convince ppl to stay saying he's no longer considered the owner but the sponsor for the site...that's even worse but you need a active owner so he can fix things and monitor the day to day things and make sure mods aren't letting power get to there heads

definitely - i've seen too many forums fail cuz of that - and about power hungry mods - on the digital point forum, if you report any post, they will infract you even if you didn't do anything right

i mean one time, i needed a bit of help with mysql or something cuz i was starting out - no one responded for a week so i reposted to bump it up to ask for help again and added another question or so - some jack@$$ reported that post and i was infracted for bumping a thread....

they are retarded sometimes - the owner only comes by once in a while

you need a lot of powers and a court order to do that lol

no ISP will just kick a customer for messing with a forum

they also could have just banned your ip which would keep you away for a while until your IP reset again somehow

was totally shocked the teen got that much for that site, he must of busted a nut on spot because he did barely any work...well whatever it takes to set up a site and just let other ppl make it big and got nearly 10k for it. that site had a lot of ppl fooled for a while cause they have a console sale counter on the front page and many thought it was real but it was actually a system that add X amounts of units every 3 seconds and he'd change the X every so often...it was totally off, really just like vgchartz is today.

I see then a bunch of ppl at sonydefenseforce(terrible site) were lying wh0res. And yeah my IP does that as well, cause when I was messing with nexgenwars, I'd sign up make a few posts and log out before they could ban me and then sign up again and repeat the cycle so on so forth they were like you loser your just on a bunch of proxies...I was like loser=yes, proxy= no, your ban system is just bad.
