Useful and useless FireFox add ons
Ok so i was just snooping around the add on page at the mozilla site and i noticed that there are some very useful add ons and some very useless add ons heres an example gmail notifier and web mail notifier two very useful programs they obviously notify you when you have mail gmail notifier is strictly gmail but web mail notifier lets u choose from several email providers including gmail pretty cool pretty useful now here are some pretty useless add ons bookmark manager wtf do we need bookmark manager firefox already has one so why do we need another one pretty useless huh folks. heres another example of useless add ons searchbar and toolbar add ons powered by google and or yahoo keyword powered by google and or yahoo now why waste space on ur firefox and slow it down by adding a search bar powered by another search engine when fire fox already has a built in search bar whos default search engine is google and u can change it to yahoo or ask so search bar add ons seem completely useless to me. if you have anything to say to me please post in this thread or if you would like to talk about add ons that you believe are either useful or useless

I'm not using any firefox plugins at the moment...I find no use to any of them. and I agree the bookmark manager is doesn't really make a lot of sense.

although I have a google toolbar, I wouldn't call it a direct plugin to firefox since the toolbar works with other browsers as well.

I don't really use any extra plugins... the only thing I've changed about my Firefox is the skin; now it's green with a (fire) fox on it. :-P I have a google toolbar but it was already there by default.

I think the OP was like.... 3 really long run-on sentences. There needs to be a plug-in to prevent such atrocities.

    yeah I uh.
    Tried reading OP's post.
    But
    No thanks.
I've seen 4th graders write better.

I'm using adblock plus, which is realllyyyyyyyy useful.
    No ads thanks <:
Oh and ReminderFox because I am really bad at keeping track of upcoming dates.
So what better way to remember things than get a little reminder in the crner of my screen <:
It even has a todo list.

And colorzilla for art/website related things.

Also hide unvisited. Useful when you have bookmarks you don't want to be seen dropping down from the address bar.
Though I've chosen to make a separate profile for "guest" users.
    Sneaky sneaky.

Firefox is handy <: and the theme I use is Whitehart which is basic and lovely and white. Which looks really good when you have a black theme running on your computer.

Some of the best addons for Mozilla Firefox that I use:

    AdBlock Plus
ForecastBar Enhanced (with moving 640x480 radar, on Bookmarks toolbar)
    Yahoo! Mail toolbar

    And my favorite theme:
    RedShift V3

I have my forecast on my desktop widgets, so I wouldn't use that feature.
But I like the adblock, and I also changed my google-search bar, the bar to the right of the address bar, I changed it to dictionary.com since I write a lot.

That way, I can just type a word in there and bam. I get the definition and/or other uses and spellings. Thesaurus if I need it too. <3

Otherwise, I don't waste my time with adding stuff.

Some of them addons are really nice. Is there a way to develop your own easily?

no easy way as in a few button clicks but if you are familiar with how firefox runs program-wise then it could be easy for you

i personally have no idea nor did I look into it because I honestly don't care.
