is there any way to get minecraft free

i want mine craft free but i dont want it ileagle is there some way for me to get it i dont want to buy for somthing that lags and the classic sucksbut i do not want to pirate

i dont know wear to find anyone that does i only have one freind that has it and he protects it with his life ;p and online i was looking for somone but no luck of course plus i would take the chance it was hacked or somthing so i dont know
