    Windows 7
I'm curious, to all those that have Windows 7 or did have it.
what do you think of it? Pros/cons?

I haven't really kept up with it but I planned on switching from Vista to windows 7 when I built my PC a few months back. is it worthy of a switch or no?

Usually it's a good idea to wait a couple months after they launch an OS and kill the bugs to switch. but to those who've experienced it what do you think?

I want to know too. I plan on switching over to it because one of myfriends said that it was great and used barely any ram.

i downloaded the RC version the other day - burned it up and it's ready for install but I need to find some time to set in my spare laptop hdd for the install (it's just lying there on my desk, might as well put it to use)

    hopefully it doesn't disappoint

I have much hope in this OS.
It just has to be better then Vista. XP can only last us so long

i actually tried it over the weekend, looks great and feels better than Vista. Since I'm still used to XP I'm still in favor of XP but Windows 7 definitely has potential and it's not even fully released yet.

I heard it was really good, smoother than Vista! I might switch to it as well.

We just got the licensing from MS at work for Windows 7. I'm testing it at home. Thus far I love it.

In all honesty, Vista shouldn't have even been put out.... They should have just waited for Windows 7 and left XP out for people to use.

Windows 7 cuts the requirements in half of vista, if not more. Its like.... A god OS.... I have high hopes for it... Watch those hopes get slashed :P

Windows 7 is great! It is so much better than Vista. It's what Vista should of been. Vista was a complete failure, the security was way over the top and it wasn't even that secure anyway. Prompt you for this and prompt you for that. Do you confirm that you want this program to be open. YES I DO I wouldn't of click on it in the first place!

They threw all that out the window with Windows 7. Also there is this neat feature with having called 'Magnifyer' so you can see texts easier. And the feature 'Snipping Tool' so you can screenshot with precision without capturing the whole screen. Class

I've been using Windows 7 for just a little over a week now and it's great. I still have windows xp on dual boot on another hdd so I switch back and forth when I need to. But the windows xp mode in Win7 makes compatibility that much easier.

+1 for Win7 after trying it out for real (not the beta version I had a few months back).

When was the last time you created a system restore point? You might want to look and see if one was created before you updated Windows because one should have been automatically created. If one was, a suggestion would be to roll back to that previous restore point.

Your English is pretty good :)

However I'm not good with Laptop issues! But there are a lot of brainy people on here to help you out :)
I just thought I would complement your English language skills!

Did you try changing the graphics back?

it should work but generally, laptop GPUs are much weaker than desktop ones. I'm not familiar with "good" GPUs for laptops so I can't say whether yours is awesome, good or bad. I can say that it's up there but it probably can't draw it enough power to run at full graphics settings.

All I can think is try installing graphics drivers - either find updated ones for the card you have or try Omega Drivers if that doesn't work.

Nah it's been out for a long time now :)
    It's definitely worth getting.

I will sum it up briefly:

It takes the best parts from XP, the best parts from Vista, melds them into one operating system, and adds more yummy stuff :D

All in all, it's amazing. The only problem I have encountered with it, is the fact that it doesn't like Windows Live Messenger at times.. apart from that, it's perfect :)

Windows 7 is awesome, everything Vista should have been, probably my favorite Windows OS.

Regarding the guy's GTA question: GTA4 is horribly optimized, lots of people have trouble with it. I've read about fixes and whatnot that'll help run it better, try googling for some.
