Sandbox/Open-World Games
Couldnt find a thread for this so I started one.
Open-World games are usually the best, so if you know any good ones, post em.
My favorites would be 1. Saints Row (may be replaced by Dead Island 2),
2. Mount & Blade Warband, 3. Garry's Mod, 4. Minecraft, 5. GTA San Andreas/Vice City/IV
-
Good idea, but just so it's clear, there is a difference between open-world game and a sandbox game. Garry's mod is the latter.

Still you have an Open-Enviroment/World in Garry's mod aswell
-
^Yeah, the term Sandbox is just more specific, whereas 'Open World' can be applied to a wider range of games.

The original Legend of Zelda is by far the best open world game.

2. Mount and Blade Warband like Morten
3.Terraria

I've always wanted to try Mount and Blade series, are they really that good? :)
I liked Prototype and Just Cause aswell.
My favorites.
1. Fallout 1.
2. Zelda: A link to the past.
3. TES: Morrowind.
-
Prototype was the best so far if we think of sandbox as something big where you can jump around and smash everything you want... But if we want more thought in all this then Fallout 3.

My opion: Mount and Blade Warband is the best sword-age game you'll ever play! M&B with Fire and Sword aint that good, wouldnt recommend it. Btw Warband is a stand-alone expansion (mean u don't have to own the main game) of the first Mount and Blade, so you shouldnt buy the first M&B either, just M&B Warband

The just cause games are good sandbox games.
-
Morrowind was amazing, but now I can't get back into it, I just get bored instantly..
Two Worlds was okay, a very simple one...
I am going to try to snag the review on Skyrim...
:P

Mine has to be any of the GTA series, well 3, Vice City, San Andreas, IV. Sometimes I just drive around aimlessly for hours on end :P

Its a physics sandbox where you are allowed to do anything. It lets you make your own things(I think) and well play around.
Here its on wikipedia

I would also add Nier to the list.
-
Mass Effect 2, 3 is out, or out soon I think.
Great for graphic hogs, amazing fights, very interactive, cutscenes are like watching a movie. Just great! :)

Forgot about Red Dead, oh hellof a game. It made a change to see a game made in the past such as a cowboy instead of the future where it's all apocalyptic and spacy.

Gothic 1,2,3,4
Prototype
GTA 3,Vice City, San Andreas, 4
