Gameing discussion question.

Let me explain this first; I work at Canon Virginia dissembling machines. Through our the day my friends and I have conversations about random things, Mostly video games. We come up with random questions and we ask them, So for fun I'd like to put a thread up, possibly every week or so on a random topic question for people to answer, discuss, debate, and relate to. I love meeting people and this seems like a great way to do so.
So with out further wait;

Week 1 topic question; If you gained one ability what would it be, and why?
Restrictions; Can not be an ability that grabs other abilities, can not be an ability that can drain some one of their abilities, can not include guns or anything with a "bullet." Keep it within reason and no god modding.

Mine first? I would have the ability to control preexisting fire and heat. Why? Fire has the ability to take life or give it. It would feel amazing to have that control.

I'd like either Invisibility, or some other form of cloaking. That way I can sneak up on people and stuff.

Either that, or supreme woman-attracting skills. Aw yea.

Supreme woman-attracting skills? I just imagined something like final fantasy where you just put on a necklace and BOOM every woman is attracted to you you take it off and everyone instantly goes back to their normal states of mind.

I would like some sort of teleportation power, bye bye bus tickets.

Well it would be pretty instant, not "Scotty beam me up" and stand in a strange glow for 30 secondsbefore I disapear with a strange sound.

But for a more technical explanation to make the atoms separate and fly with the speed of light to the new place where they is put together again.

Either by a power or a small device, psuh the button and think of wherer you want to go.

Wait is this supposed to be an ability in a video game or one we'd want in real life? Because the title and some of what you write makes it sound like it's supposed to pertain to video games, but I am not sure if that's how we're answering the question o-o

^ I was wondering the same thing, but I'm just gonna answer with what I'd want IRL.

Which would be Telekinesis, I think I'd have the most fun with it, especially if it was at Jean Grey's level..

Also, I'm curious, why limit yourself to preexisting fire?

In real life. I was thinking of kinda like from video games or comics.


Pre exsisting fire, because scientifically speaking, creating fire would have to have a spark.

I'd want telepathy+the ability to communicate with animals.

I'm a big snoop and I'd love the ability to hear people's most private thoughts. It would be ... really interesting. Obviously there are huge drawbacks and whatever - this is a popular superpower in movies and books to show the horrible side effects, but I don't care. XD You'd have to be able to turn it off/on, etc. And I included the animals thing because they are pretty similar ;D

I'd settle for the ability traverse dimensions. I've seen enough of this reality and don't need to manipulate it further - I wanna explore places that people only imagine exist.

Telekinesis or the power to move control peoples mind, OR to freeze and manipulate time. That'd be epic, for real.

Well, I was considering them as the same power, but I wanted to emphasize that I wanted telepathy to include the ability to communicate with animals. :P

I know you're thinking I'm just taking your ideas, but I've been thinking about this since I was like 2!

If I had to choose, I'd pick telekinesis because then, the TV remote would never be too far away.
