What Are You Playing Right Now?
Just trying to start up a thread here to generate some topic of conversation. What games are you currently playing right now? For me I've been playing a lot of League of Legends and recently started back up into Portal 2 because the community made levels are a lot of fun. I've also been getting back into some Fallout 3 when I'm bored since that's one of my all time favorite games.
-
I've been rotating through games recently.
I've Been playing
Last of Us on PS3
Zelda Ocarina of Time on 3DS
Dark Souls on PC
and GTA 4 on PC when I'm bored or don't know what to play. Then I'll occasionally play BF4 and Ghost online when I need some FPS action.
-
I'm currently hooked on League of Legends and Neverwinter Online. Can't get enough of both.
Offline I've been playing Sly Cooper. Picked up the collection about a week ago which has the first 3 for cheap. Surprisingly good games. Fun to play with the girlfriend.
-
The Baconing. It's been over two weeks since we moved into our house and I've only gotten to relax and play a game ONE night since then!

been playing some Torchlight 2 (PC) lately.
also some black ops 2 (360)
-
Been playing a lot of Chivalry, and if you like skill based combat you might like it to:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q7cTvQklWvU
-
That looks pretty sweet. Is it only fighting?
-
I mostly play in duel mode, there is a team deathmatch, free for all and team objective where you complete objectives like burning villages or breaking down a castle gate but they are all based around fighting.
there is no story or plot, its a little like Team fortress, in that opposing sides sense. There is a bit of a learning curve but that video and the basics video before it tell you what you need to know about how the game works.
-
That's sick, is it on Steam?
-
Yes, you generally only want to play this game on steam, VAC keeps most people in check. Though there are still a few cheaters. I got a VAC ban for running my CPU up with an overclock designed to maximize an exploit. Technically, not a hack but the game is affected by overclocking. (this is actually pretty embarrassing, but they had the good grace to only block me from chivalry, rather than a full VAC ban)
If you want to play sometime my gf does have the game so I jump on from time to time. Also I obviously dont advise trying to speedhack this game, even though it happens a lot. Its rampant on any non steam version.

It's about thongs.... literally haha The Thong of Justice. Without giving away too much, the basic gist of the game is in the first couple it's your goal to find the thongs because you want the power that comes from them. Then in The Baconing (the last game of the trilogy) you must destroy them :P
-
I just finished half life 2, and a couple of days ago I finished portal2.
Now Im going to play Dishonored, wow and company of heroes 2.

UGH. There's this one part in Portal 2 I'm stuck at right now... I know how the puzzle works, I just can't do it. It's closer to the end of the game, the one where you have to jump off of something really high to get your speed going, land in a portal on the ground which then shoots you across the room towards this pillar/column thing that you have to make a portal on and land in/go through. If that makes any sense... lol But it's so hard! I just can't get the timing/aiming down right and keep accidentally clicking on the wrong portal. Worked on it for about 2 hours straight one day and haven't attempted since :P

What drugs were the creators of this game on? lmfao

I just started playing Skyrim again because I watched a friend play it the other day. I played it a lot on my 360, but I'm playing it on steam now, definitely still an awesome game.
-
I'm going to start playing The Ship

mod it, mod the crap out of it. It can be 10 times better with mods. Take the time to get the wire mesh mod, the script extender and enhanced UI, and the realistic cape and better character models and hair. Then get all the nature sound pack (except the realistic thunder one because it causes crashes when you use certain shouts), and get all the distant detail mods you can find.

The enhanced ui is definitly important, the basic ui is not made for pc.

I planned on it. I found a bundle of 88 mods on steam to enhance the graphics. Though I'm not sure it worked, I did recognize any mind blowing graphics. I haven't played the game in a year so I can't remember what it's supposed to look like. I'll have to mess around with it I guess.
Edit: never mind, i just didn't restart my launcher, they're downloading now. Hopefully my GTX 560 Ti can handle it. Only plays BF4 at 60 on medium; plan on upgrading around next chirstmas
Edit again: Wow looks amazing, almost a completely different game. I am getting some lag though, Time to over clock my card, running at normal atm. I'll post some screen shots in a new thread in a bit.
-
Injustice Gods Among us.....Freaking superman being OP
-
Superman sucks, I hate him. Lamest super hero ever lol
-
was cleaning my room out of some junk, but luckily I found 'Megaman Legends 1 & 2'.
I'm playing them right now! yaaay
-
I've never played any Megaman games, I should get on that
-
Im kind of shocked at how out of hand my steam list has gotten, so I will be working on that. I plan on playing through all the shadowgrounds games today and tomorrow. Yay holidays.

get all of these out of the way, and I'll join you in Torchlight 2 sometime soon! haha
-
well I would have to roll a new character, but I would be up for that! PM me what times you are free and we will set something up.
-
some Megaman legends 1, soon will play Megaman legends 2. haha
-
Since I got my new controller for my PC I've been Dark Souls like crazy and I freaking love it so much

Have you played any of them yet? I thought you said something about whether you have or not, but I can't remember :P
-
Yeah, I've played BioShock 1 a lot for my 360, but I just beat it again because it's been so long. Such an awesome game. I've started Bioshock 2 on the 360 as well, never beat or got that far. And I've never touch Infinite yet, but I'm sure it's awesome.

Ah, ok. I loved the first one the best. Infinite is a really good game overall, but I personally felt like it was lacking some of things that made Bioshock feel like Bioshock. Not as Bioshock-esque, but still awesome ^_^
-
i also have bioshock on the 360 but have not finished it yet, kinda sad that I got infinite and not the 3 game bundle on steam. ='(
I was going to quick zip through titan quest, my god was I wrong. That's like a 40 hour game.
-
My lovely wife (you may all remember her as Th3-devils-princess) bought me a gaming pc for Xmas, so I haven't touched anything on the 360 as of late..
But now I'm an active PC gamer, I've been play Civ V, World of Tanks, War Thunder and WoW..
Am also looking to pick up Sim City and some point over the next couple weeks..
My steam is Knibbler87 if anyone wants to add me :)

I actually saw you playing Titan Quests last night, so I had a look at it an d it looks fairly good, how's the gameplay?

Its ok, the game seems really long actually. I dont know if thats good or bad but I put 20 hours into it and im still killing the same act1 mobs. I think the expansion is in hades, so Im looking forward to that. I guess I have been spoiled by most action isometric rpgs (or diablo clones, a term I dont think is a bad thing to be called) Having "acts" that you pass through to give you a solid sense of progression. There are a decent number of monsters to kill either way, I just expected Greece to be a starting point and maybe go to some monster islands or mountains near olympus maybe before reaching hades.
The skills and skill tree system are really good but the game is very grindy, so you have to earn ever skill point. I dont doubt some people prefer this.
-
Going between Shadowrun Returns and Saints Row IV :)
-
I have been playing a lot of pokemon x and y. That game is the hands down the best pokemon I have played, and those are ussually amazing rpgs.
My only complaint is that it was a little to easy. However with super easy to join online battles there is plenty of challenge in player battles. Some of the amazing features that helped sell me on the game are:
- voice chat, online, and while trading.
- GTC, a global trade system that lets you offer a pokemon up for trade or search offers for trades you need
- Wonder trade, put up any pokemon and get a random trade in return. I just got porygon for a tyrunt with pokerus. made me smile seeing two people put quality randoms up.
-I have over 400 pokemon. I dont know how many there are, but it feels like every pokemon ever is in this version.
-
I'm playing Max Payne 3 ITS AWESOME look on YouTube max Payne 3 bullet time!

Max Payne 3 is a brilliant game, even if it is fairly short..
I'm currently downloading DayZ: standalone edition,
not expecting anything great being that it's an early access alpha, and I expect to die a lot.
but i've heard nothing but good things..
Anyone else played this yet?

Loaded it up for the first time, ran to house to the right of my spawn point, found some sardines then chased by a zombie into the next town... which evidently agro'd even more zombies. I thought it would be a good idea to try and hide in an outhouse... didn't turn out to be such a good idea so I licked a battery.
Anyone up for maybe running a coop survival?

I haven't played DayZ, but I have played Infestation. It was pretty good but I'd much rather try out DayZ
-
finally playing some borderlands 2. its fun so far, I like it.
-
i played day z about a year and a half ago when it was probably to buggy to playing it. I had a lot of characters fall through the floor into s[ace and game up on it. Thinking about giving it another try.
-
Finished Max Payne the ending was ok and the final battle was surprisingly easy

What was hard was the collapsing roof sequence with the armored guy near the end. I had more trouble with that than any boss.
Also I am still playing Pokemon X, just bred a perfect 5 stat, adamant honedge. Took me roughly 4 hours. Trying for a scyther for a scisor, might be my mega choice, just because he looks so cool.
-
Even though the ESO beta was live all weekend, I ended up playing Minecraft the whole time lmfao
-
Still working on Saints Row IV and Shadowrun Returns. SR is an awesome game. I'm really glad I bought it. I think I'm fairly close to the end though. I hate finishing games :[

I love long games, I just hate finishing them because then they're over :(

-
I've been playing a lot of mine craft as well lately.
I also replayed The Walking Dead 400 days just to get get the last couple achievements to 100% the game.
-
Been playing too much of Gran Turismo 6. Its just really fun for me.

Have you played Season 2 yet!? It's absolutely amazing. I loved and hated Telltale by the end of episode 1, it had my emotions all over the place haha.
Currently I've been playing Pokemon Y, and CoD:Ghosts on the PS4. CoD is kinda meh, but the new Pokemon is so great.

No I haven't bought it yet. I've been waiting for it to come on sale for 50 percent off or something. I can't talk my self into buying a game with no replay value for 25 dollars.

That's exactly why I'm waiting. Figured I'd pick it up during Steam's next sale or something. But it's so hard to wait!

Lol me too but the game is frustrating me haha it's going to take some getting used to since the only card game I ever played extensively was Yu-Gi-Oh and needless to say, the two are very different lol
-
Just started playing SimCity (2013) and when I say started playing, I mean I loaded it up, adjusted my setting and turned it off to go to work lol.
I will get round to actually playing a game that isn't WoW soon...

Oh really? Haha You'll get used to it, just give it time! :] I play tons of similar card games (Magic, etc) so I'm really interested to see how it compares.
Is there an AI versus mode or are all of your games matched against other real people?
-
I'd love get into SimCity, it seems so fun.

Are you talking about Hearthstone? Practice mode is vs AI and it's how you unlock more decks.

I was the same way with the first/400 Days, but I was way too antsy to wait o. The second season. Even with no replay value, totally worth the money imo. They reallystepped up their gane a TON with this one.

Yea, I meant after practice. I know practice is against AI, I just didn't know if beyond that you had the option to play versus both people and AI. Because honestly, I think I'd prefer playing against the AI versus real people :P
-
Yeah I would too but as far as I've seen the only play you get against the AI is the first 6 matches you do upon making an account lol hopefully they'll add some sort of campaign play when the full game comes out.
-
No, you can play against AI as much as you want. But once you get your deck to level 20, you will stop gaining Experience from AI opponents. Each deck class has a different level, so you could spend quite a long time playing AI if you switched decks a lot.
-

Ahhhh, ok. I was just wondering because of 2 reasons. 1) I have the tendency to get up and do stuff randomly while I'm gaming (like I'll take breaks to cook, clean, etc) so I could screw off as often as I wanted against AI :P And 2) While my husband was playing, he was complaining that some people take forever to take their turns.

My hunter has just broke the lvl 50 mark in the space of 2 weeks.
but yeah, I miss playing a variety of games, I just can't hold the concentration long enough to stay interested lol
-
I'm really digging the Druid deck on Hearthstone but it seems to really struggle against things like the Paladin deck and I think the Mage deck which play a lot of cards that buff their side of the field, which sucks because they're 2 popular decks.

I'm the same way haha. Easier to pick a new toon than it is to switch games. I think we may be addicted!
-
I got Disney Infinity for Christmas and I love it I keep buying new models for it.
But its such a fun game I wasn't sure about it at first but as I've played it more its become more addictive :)
-
a title called Valdis Story Abyssal City, its a fun game so far. I like it.
-
Finally checked out Hearthstone.... and now I can't stop playing. It's pretty awesome :]

I'm so jealous of everyone's beta access haha. I'm dying to play it!
My brother gifted me Rust the other night, there's quite a bit to do in it even though it's in such early development. It's pretty neat :)
-
I've heard a few people talk about Rust, what's it like?
-
Jumped back on DayZ this morning for another outing.
Still surviving with my 1st character, even though I licked the battery last time.
The effects of that seem to have worn off now.
I am still badly hurt, though I've now learnt how to tear shirts into rags, so no longer bleeding. :)
And the Zombies seem to have learnt how to teleport through doors. I shut the doors behind me when being chased thinking zombies can't open doors, turns out they don't need to, they just float on through.
Did manage to pick myself up a FirstAid kit today though, so that's a plus point even if i've got no one to administer me on an IV lol.
If i'm reading the map correctly, I'm now situated somewhere along the railroad just north east of Chernogorsk.
-
I played dayz with 2 of friends we went up to the beached ship on the map its called rify were we all got m4s we then went into Berezino and all got killed by a team of guys, there's another 5 hrs of my life wasted we did manage to kill a few guys while I had my m4 though! Can't wait till it gets a little more developed.

It feels kind of like DayZ and Fallout mixed with Minecraft. Survival orientated, zombies, radiated wasteland, with a strong push towards crafting/building to survive.
We did a 2 hour raid last night with 6 people, it was awesome. Took a while for supplies to get together. Harvest animal fat, turn that into crude oils, mix with gunpowder and explosives gathered from zombies, BAM C4. It was unsuccesful though as we didn't expect the kind of fortress they had :( oh well. Too many metal doors and reinforced walls makes for a lot of explosives to break in.

Have you checked out anything on Thief? They made Deus Ex. It looks like an amazing game.
Currently been playing the crap out of Hearthstone, and gonna try out Guild Wars 2 I think. WoW is kinda boring me and need something to hold me off till Elder Scrolls Online!
