So many JRPGs
Is anybody else pleased with how many JRPGs are coming out lately, even if a lot of them are re-releases of older games?
-
I'm very happy. They reigned on top until bigger western studios developed other action/shooter/sports games. It's nice to see a comeback and have gamers go back to what made gaming so big!
-
I won't be happy until I see a SAO game in English.

The first few episodes of SAO were good but I fell off. Then i watched some in the middle on Toonami and thought it got kind of dumb so I lost interest in it.
I really want to get Bravely Default, but I have so many other JRPGs to play first :(
-
same here, I definitely want to check out bravely default but due to low funds... its all just college life for me at the moment.
I heard it was really fun, so... guess I'll wait for a price drop, if there is one for this game.

Idiots at Gamestop put my preorder down for Xbox even though I told them PC so they didn't have anymore physical copies #sadface

Preorder of what?

Not sure what that has to do with JRPG's. Try to keep your post relative to the thread that you're posting in.
I've never really been a huge fan of JRPG's, I just can't get into the art style. I've never really been a fan of any of the Final Fantasy games either. Just something about them.

Posted in the wrong thread, meant to put it in Jak's postland

I dunno. Apparently stick of truth is modeled after JRPGs, so it's close enough that i'd say it fits.

It feels like Paper Mario but with South Park characters. It's very similar but not quite there yet. (It's awesome by the way)
Also playing Final Fantasy Lighting Returns rightnow. I know it came out a while back but just picked it up. It's pretty awesome, but I feel like it'd be a better game if it was a new cast of characters. Just doesn't feel like it should be the game to wrap up the trilogy, y'know?

I like the JRPG genre quite a lot. I'm not sure if there's a resurgence happening or not. It does still feel like the whole genre has fallen in terms of quality since the golden years of the SNES and PS1.
