1000 Members

Gamers Forum finally hit the milestone of a thousand members.

The Thousandth member was this idiot: Gamers Forum - View Profile: Skinsnapper

He got an infraction 1 minute after joining, very smart!

We would really have over 1200 members right now if we didn't have two major crashes, one June 2007 and one January 2008.

Hopefully no more crashes come our way :D

Too bad more of those 1000 are not active. Because really that number is only a number that is worthless, only active members number matters. But anyways congrats to GF.

agreed, we got like 250 - 300 members login last month but under a 100 made 1 or more posts that counted -

but nonetheless, the 1000 member count is still a good accomplishment whether we have a 1000 active members or not :D should have reached this back in january :(

It would be neat to be able to see a list of the actual amount of active members.

I agree with you 100 percent. If we want to get active members at this rate, we need atleast 10,000 members. Then we will get atleast 1000 of those active.

I can check the members list and see around half of those inactive or people that just tried to spam the heck out of the forum.

Anyway, congratulations to GF.

the forum has a system of showing active users and its idea of active is logging in

if i enabled that, out of the 1000, about 300-400 would be on the active list , but if it took posting into account, about 100 or so which is about 10% which isn't bad - if we had 900/1000 people active, it would get crazy to maintain the whole thing with the amount of staff we had now

Yeah we finaly hit over 1000 members XD

imo if a person doesn't make at least 10 posts in a month they aren't active and that's lowballing it massively, really it should be at least 1 post per day for normal active members.

yeah and thats why i disabled the forum to show active members, not accurate at all

Well how are the server going to handle if there is around 1000 people online and many people sitting playing arcade. Aren't we need more moderator if it so many, I wish the nr 1000th could be a real member not a spammers. xD

well by the time the forum gets active enough for 1000 people at the same time - i'll hopefully be hosting it from my own server so it shouldn't be a problem

and of course, we'll get more moderators when that happens :D

hope the next 1000th member isn't too far away :D keep it up
