Combat Arms

Combat Arms is a game brought out by Nexon a while back. The same guys that made Maple Story and a few other games.

Anyone here try combat arms? I got it today cuz a friend told me it "rocked" and I should really really try it so I did.

The game play is alright but doesn't give me the full FPS feeling like Counter Strike and Half life games that I am used to. But it's pretty cool. You get points when you kill and you can use them to buy yourself new weapons and equipments and stuff.

Not a game I'll be playing everyday but it is still pretty alright. It is FREE so that's a huge plus for the game.

I've also seen a few combat arms ads from google on this site - another reason why i wanted to try it.

Well if it's free I'll try it. But these free online games are rarely any good.

I read somewhere that this game was terrible. I couldn't tell you where though.

i can't judge yet, i only played for like 20 mins total lol, so far it was ok, game play and graphics are pretty good, but weapons are bought before the game starts, i dont like that part cuz the only way you can switch is if you pick up from one of the dead players and its rare that they have a different gun

maybe i can add this to my list of "to be reviewed" games lol

Well I couldn't try this game becuase they have IP blocked like always :(

you cant play combat arms in EU because i downloaded it and it said error iq 20334 or sumthing like that so i types it in google and everyone from europe had the same problem and then nexon told us that we couldent play it in eu and it never said anything about only us or anything about not eu so they are bringing a new version out just for the eu .

why? they blocked your IP or your country's ip? thats weird

That isn't weird, actually Linux I'm not from US or Canada.
All Nexon games have done it expect Audition and Maple Story. I'm while was looking forward to play Mabinogi. Why couldn't they not have afford to buy a licensed in Europe?

ah..i didnt know that lol, stupid nexon - this is the first of their games i actually tried though

Combat Arms are looking good, can't really wasted my time of this game.
That's no way that Combat Arms is going to be release in Europe.
There is going to be many good games then Combat Arms become old and rusty and nobody know about that

i haven't played it since the first day i got the game lol - not really my type - the game play feels very slow for me - i am used to rushing games - this is like fully deathmatch

No! Becuase they have ip blocked

So I stumbled on this game again and was wondering if there have been any improvements made lately. I read some reviews on it from back in '08 and all I could find were complaints about hackers and such. Anyone know if they have ironed all that stuff out? Game play improvements? Anything? I was considering tinkering with it...

It is terrible I have played it for hours I masterd the sniping,and the ctf,and all ,maps however the hackers ruined it for me so now I hate the game I now play COD

my neighbor got me into this, but the problem is that whenever I try to play, it gets stuck at the screen where it says: "connecting to server, please wait." (right after you log in)

Could be a bug. I haven't played in a while but I've never had to wait too long to connect to a server.

If it keeps up, try reinstalling the game.

I've done that and I also redownloaded a NEW client too... still got the same problem...
perhaps its just my internet connection because of my ping.... or many people are trying to connect to the game...or maybe my computer is trying to tell me, "I'm 2 years old, i'm gonna die soon, find another better PC that can replace me." haha.

2 year old pc isn't that old, My pc is almost 2 now (will be in a month) and it runs great. Do they have a support forum or support ticket system or something similar? You could give them a try and see what's going on because most likely it's a bug.

If you can, try it out on another computer and see how it goes. It'll tell you whether it's your computer or the game itself.

Linux, it works perfectly fine on my neighbor's computer and its also 2 years old, just with a better graphics card, a better net connection, and a faster processor than my computer. The game used to work fine on my computer, but not anymore. I did report a ticket in the technical support forums of this game, yet no admin did attend to it. The nexon staff is pretty poor at reporting tickets. Oh well, I'll probably find a low quality online game or something like that.
