New Face of Consoles Board (Some Rules)

As you may notice, there are three new child categories inside the Console Board. They are Sony Playstation, Microsoft Xbox, and Nintendo Console. This is to separate the three big company conversations and it makes it easier for people to find the right topics to participate in rather than having to go through 10 different Threads of the Other two consoles.

So please try to post in the MOST appropriate Category. If you are trying to ask something about the PS3 or anything Playstation related, Post it in the Sony Playstation board. Same thing goes for Microsoft Xbox and Nintendo.

If you want to talk about any other consoles such as the Sega Genesis, or Atari, or anything else, Open it in the regular Console Board. If you are not sure whether to open a thread in the console board or inside one of the child categories, please just make a little note in your post and a staff member should move your post if necessary.

If you want to talk about two consoles at the same time. For example, the Xbox vs. the PS2 - you can open it in the consoles board, OR you can go into the PS or Xbox boards depending on which you feel fits more. If you like the Xbox more than the Playstation then you may be compelled to open it in the Xbox board and there is no problems with that.

If you have any questions about the new face of the board, please post here or make your own thread in the Questions/Suggestions board and someone will happily help you out.

yeah. I tried moving as many threads as I can to the individual boards. I may have missed some and I may have screwed up on a few so if anybody sees anything that doesnt belong or should belong elsewhere, just let me or one of the staff know so we can move the thread.

I got a couple, but there weren't that many left.
I was only able to go through about 4 pages before I had to get off.

thanks lol - i had to make the boards when I had time to spare to look for threads that belonged :)

just hope everyone else gets used to them and posts in the most appropriate category, makes it easier for everyone

Wouldn't it be easier to get rid of all the shooters and racing sections and put a General Game discussion and a Classic Game discussion thread. That way you have a thread for each console, a thread for games that go on all the consoles and you got a thread for the older consoles. You could probably even make a hand held section. That way you have 6 organized threads, because now the racing and shooter threads will not be used as much.

threads and boards are two different things lol

and also the new console boards are to discuss about the consoles themselves - not really their games - lets say xbox is cutting down its prices, put it there. And lets say a New Racing game is coming out for All Three Consoles. Put it in the Racing Section because it is a game.

General and Classic game discussions are VERY VERY broad - the idea of this was to make things more specific and easier to find. If we have people going through 3 pages of threads to find lets say a thread about an RPG game, that just sounds like a waste of time imo.

Oh, I see, I was thinking it was for the games them self are supposed to go in the console threads.

oh no..lol - then it would have been a completely different set up and it wouldn't make sense if you can talk about the games themselves inside the child boards - the other boards would die out - no point in that
