guys, the game reviewer reviewed what he wanted, you can't say he did a bad job for not including a few old school gaming consoles, give him credit for effort and submitting a game review

You don't read at all.... I understand and already knew that it came out before. The reason most gamers say that Atari is the first isn't because they never heard of the others. It's because the system it's self. When you said I "forgot" some consoles in the review. I told you simply that I did the major ones. The Odyssey isn't one.... I'll repeat my self again..... I said Atari, was the first gaming console, because of the game play. I don't think technology was there for the older consoles. I hope you understand now, because I'm done arguing with you. The review is stay as it is. Make your own review about it........

I would love to, but I am not a game reviewer.
If something that started gaming worldwide isn't major, I dunno what is.
Name brands are not always major. eMachines are not major, and they are a name brand. Local Pizza Shops are off-brand pizza places, and they are better then almost ALL pizza places.
Glad we are done. I am out of Voltage anyway

Think of it this way.
the metal gear series started out on the msx2 (or is it mxs2?) with Metal Gear. It had 2 sequels, one was canon and one was not.
Then, they made Metal Gear Solid and it's sequels.
Samus is saying that the series actually began with Metal Gear, and then they made snake's revenge, which inspired kojima to continue the series. You're saying that the 2 original metal gears and snake's revenge don't count because they weren't popular and didn't have the technical level of the rest.
Now apply that to video games. Metal Gear and Snakes revenge = Pong and Odyssey. Metal Gear Solid = Atari 2600 and everything afterwards.
If it weren't for the odyssey and pong, video gaming might not have taken off. Sure, just cuz they suck doesn't mean they weren't important. I'm not complaining about the lack of that console that lets you play both NES and SNES games because it didn't do anything for the gaming market. But Pong and Odyssey were very important in the making of video games.
I'm not trying to make this an argument, but I just had to say it, cuz you guys got yelled at before i had a chance to respond to this topic.

I'm sorry linux, but I'm going to some this up to explain all this. I did in my last one before I edited it. PLease forgive me = (
Okay now lets start over... Reviews are all based on opinions right good okay....I said I was going reviewing the major companies. In my eyes the major companies are Sega, Nintendo, Atari, Microsoft and Sony. I also said why I said Atari was the first console. It was my opinion that gaming started at that console. Yes, I understand they came out in different years. I personally, me myself think that gaming didn't really start till Atari... You may think different. This is just what I think. Also, My review wasn't on important consoles. I don't understand how this is hard to comprehend. I told you what I thought was the Major companies. Other people may think different that's fine let them. Why can't you let me voice my opinion. Your not wrong, and I'm not wrong. You know why, because there all opinions. hopefully.. this will be the last post on why I didn't put the other systems in it. I'm sure someone will have to show me up and post something so pointless... What ever you say isn't going to change my opinion . So please don't waste your time.....

I did not realize an argument was going on here.
I just came to say that I think he review looks a lot better with some pictures in there.
I still remember my sega genesis and N64.
Man I miss 'em, lol.
