Wow nice, yeah 10 dollars more can't beat that.

It's weird how upload speeds are so much slower, any reason for that? Or do companies just want to milk money since few people upload anything anywhere.

FiOS is pretty good with giving close to a 1:1 ratio for download/upload. A friend of mine has 25/25 service and can upgrade to 50/50. I went over to her house just to test the speed, it's more around 32/27 right now which is pretty good.

I don't know all the details. But it has to do a lot with the history of what households wanted. A majority of households download a lot more than they upload so that's how the networks were designed, it was designed to provide fast downloads. And I think that's why they are limited now. Fiber Optics on the other hand is much newer and allows data transfer at nearly equal speeds in either direction because it was designed to do that. I guess the old copper wire companies never thought people would want to upload as much as they download.

I'm just guessing. I'm sure if you do Google it, you'll get a much better explanation.

Obviously the upload is abysmal, but coming from 3 down 1 up this is internet heaven for me. And CenturyLink is just the inexpensive option, might upgrade later on.

I had 10/0.5 for years. When I had to upload something large, everything else had to stop.

Haha, yeah, it sucks for sure. But I use my phone's LTE for most of my uploads and that's more than capable.
