AudioLabs 5.1 Psyko vs Razer Megalodon
Hey there guys ^_^
I've been thinking about which headphones to buy in order to be able to hear a nice surround sound.
The two candidates so far are:
[AudioLabs Psyko] - 300$, has 5 physical speakers on top and two subwoofers in the ears. The sound is traveling down a special 'tube' to your years, in a way that it's like having 5 speakers around you. (Video explains at one point)
[Can't post URLs... but if you type "Psyko 5.1 PC Gaming Headphones" in Youtube you'll get it :P]
Razer Megalodon - 150$, has two speakers and the surround is emulated by the software. I've alerady had one by Creative which costed like 75$ and the result was really good, I could hear pritty much exactly where the person stood, and I think that Razer would do an even better job at it, especially seeing the price-tag.
Also, unlike most other Emulation headphones (like the G35), the processor and software in the Razer headphones are built into the headphones, so you can just plug and play anywhere without any software needed and it takes up less CPU because the headphones processor does the calculations.
[again... can't post links, but it's on the Razer website]
I am pritty sure that quite a lot of gamers would have heard of these two. Well I don't rly know which one I should go for.
On one side Psyko does have 5 physical speakers. But on the other side... almost the only thing that makes it surround is that they hit your ears at different times, which is the easiest thing you can achive in emulation.
But Razer can also tell you if guys are coming from right, left, back, even the elivation, as well as being 2x cheaper and working on pritty much any computer.
Perhaps there is something I don't quite know? Well I need your guys' opinions, Psyko or Razer? What ya think?
Thank you ^_^
