need help in choice b/w games

hello all gamers forum users, i need your help in a very big decision and i am relying on all of your input. i am in a dillema because i want to buy both mass effect 2 and halo odst but can only buy 1.
after finding out that odst is relatively a free roam (and i am aware mass effect is too) i am more linear to that side of the argument. But mass effects "bonus features" *wink wink* make me want that too

Go with Mass effect 2. It's more of a Game.
You will probably be able to find someone that has ODST that you can go over to their house for a day and beat it, unless your a hardcore Halo fan(if you play halo on live everyday, get it.) I don't see a need to buy ODST I wont be, I plan on going to my friends house for a night or two and playing it that way.

Mass effect 2 on the other hand, I pre ordered it already. There's no way I could play it at a friends house too big of a game.

Also Street. do you not like RPG's? if you don't I understand but otherwise you should/need to play Mass effect.
Hell even if you don't like RPG's it's an awesome shooter.

thanks for the input. i have reasearched both games tho and mass effect is probably gonna be AC2 with guns. i honestly dont think that the story can go for a trilogy with saren dead and the citadel all closed up, you know, unless they make the entire council indoctrinated. i reckon that recon, though back and forthish, has a better story, besides, who doesnt think that the firefight would be good, come on im talking a non story battle of the covenant in endless waves on a multiplayer map of your choosing. i dunno, but ill take all this into consideration when i go up to buying my games.

But anyway Firefight is just Horde, Halo style.
I don't know about you but Horde was only fun for about a week.
Granted it is Halo and it could be awesome. If it is I'll probably buy it.
But look at it this way. Mass effect you don't need anyone to play it with
So if you get Mass effect first and ODST at a later date when you can afford it. More of your friends will have it.

That's what I would do, pretty much what I am doing.

If you can only buy one until who knows when. And you like Halo and play it alot on Live, ODST comes with all the maps and 3 new ones plus Firefight(you wont get johnson unless you pre order it at Gamestop), so in the long run you'll probably get more for your money as far as the amount of time you spend on the Game and Re-playability by getting ODST.

For me though I'm talking a month, two at most and I'll have both.

go with mass effect. much more of a game. Halo is kind of a joke IMO. Find a friend that bought it, and when they get sick of it then borrow it or something

@shixx, see since i ahve been banned from PSN i dont really know what new games are coming out or anything, so i dont know if mass effect 2 is for xbox, ps3, pc, i have no idea. it juts looks kooler, and i never played halo but once at my friends, cause i nvr got it for my old xbox., cause i enver really played my xbox.

nah, i subed to all the game chennals like IGN, G4TV, playstation, etc. on youtube, so thats all i got.
