Need some advice

For one of my Weapons of Mass Destruction i have to write a NPS, which is a National Planning Scenario which is.. a situation that is created on paper to present to the Homeland security community about how to react mitigate and in all best try to prevent whatever the situation is.


So what i am writting mine about is an attack on the DC area, preventing all escape by residents of the area and releasing very deadly chemical agents to kill as much as possible and to prove a point of america still isnt safe after everything that has been done in the name of homeland security.

This is just a very quick overview, but what do you guys think?

I like the idea. Sounds like a good movie too. Just make sure to destroy the bridges and block all highways out of the city!

With what I had in mind as the IEDs that wont be a problem... I will have to look up the amount of explosives used at khobar towers lol


edit: Ok after a quick search... I Will say the trucks and other large vehicles covering bridges and all exits by land based vehicles are carrying... about 15-30k worth of tnt.

30k pounds? Or something else? Either way, that sounds like a lot.

Good research though. I haven't had to do anything like this. I know classes that work with scenarios like that, never took them because they dont' fit my schedule.

Hmm, that doesn't look that bad actually. Are you sure you have your numbers right? 30 kilos, or kilotons? There's a difference... a huge one. 30k won't do anything to DC area. Seems like a good topic to write on, though.

and ya im using 30k to mean 30,000. its my old computer math class kicking in.

well 30k isnt alot :P but it is enough to damage/destroy all routes out of the city.

I know what the k means, I was just wondering 30,000 what...It may be obvious but I'm obviously not seeing it...maybe be the long day I had yesterday and not enough sleep last night.

Ahh 30k of what, sorry lol i said it in my first post you might not have caught it, I would use TNT.

Thats why I supplied the picture to show you what it would do.
