    Default Best OS

It depends on the purpose of usage. Today, I believe Windows 7 is the best OS because it's being used in a wide range of businesses and education.

Lol not really. If you know where to look and are BUILDING the computer, and not buying it already built, it's a hell of a lot cheaper.

IMO: Best OS is Arch Linux. Very customizable, lightweight, and dependable. It ships as a command-line only distro, however you can add Xorg and a DE and make something sexy out of it much more easily than with a distro line Ubuntu. I use Arch x86_64 with Openbox, tint2, conky, cairo-compmgr, and a few XFCE utilities for my desktop.

edit: hey, i bumped this over a month but it was only a few lines down on the front page. don't kill me.
