Halo Reach may be getting more Achievements soon, most likely in a downloadable content pack. The latest Bungie Weekly Update innocently showed a pictured tutorial on game installation. In that tutorial, though, fans noticed one of the pictures shows an Achievement score of 1250, and a number of 59 (above). This is 10 more Achievements, and 250 more points, than the current game.
Achievements tend to be reserved for paid downloadable content, so this has kicked off speculation of a DLC pack coming soon. It may come alongside the October update, but Bungie hasn't discussed its plans for DLC yet. Bungie did take the opportunity to outline more plans for the October patch, including some playlist changes, more variants like King of the Hill, Rocket Race, and Juggernaut, and balance tweaks for a few game modes and load-outs.
While this may seem like a mistake, Bungie is pretty media-savvy. It wouldn't surprise us to learn the team had let this picture out on purpose to generate buzz for an upcoming announcement. We'll let you know when they give official word on the DLC.
