    Default "OnLive" Micro Gaming System

I was on YouTube today when I found that DigitalSoul made a new video regarding a new console called the "OnLive Micro Gaming System". Basically what it is is a small, portable console that does not take discs or anything. Instead, you buy the games from the OnLive marketplace for less price than the actual disc version of the game. Before you make the assumption that these are those crappy cheap games made by the console developers, there are a lot of very good titles including Assassins Creed II, Borderlands, Aliens V. Predator etc.

Below is the video I watched from DigitalSoul [Note that at the begging he talks about something irrelevant, so skip forward a bit if you want to]:

And below is the official OnLive website:

    Welcome to OnLive.com

Not sure if this is something I will be getting, but I do prefer the idea of having games downloaded straight onto your console than waste space with a lot of game cases and such, with the added worrying of scratched & damaged discs...

It will be niche at best and I will never get it. I'd rather have consoles and games. DD can go to hell.

I'm surprised we didn't see something like this earlier... basically just cloud console emulation :P

Pretty neat idea for a service and probably could save a lot of money in the long run. I wonder though, how do they get games into their "catalog" and how much are you going to be behind release dates when using this thing? It could either be a serious gift or a pain in the arse.

It will most definitely just be a niche group, but I wonder if they'll be all the wiser
