Nintendo DSi or the Nintendo DS Lite?

Which one should I get?
Bare in mind, I don't want your decision to be bias or based purely on which one is the later version, I am fully aware of which one is the latest.

I would like to know which one is better value for money?
I can get a Black DS lite for like £75 I think my girlfriend said, as she is looking for one for a Valentines Day gift for me.

What are your views?

DSi, unless you play GBA games. The DS lite seems like a step backwards, aside from having a brighter screen.

A step backwards in what way?
Are the visuals the same? Apart from the DS Lite having a brighter screen.
Is the brighter screen a bad thing, or is it better than the DSi?

The DS lite is smaller, so if you've got even slightly big hands it'll suck. As far as visuals, the the graphics really depends on the game cart, not the system itself. As far as brightness goes, the DS Lite is EXTREMELY bright on the lowest setting, at least in the dark.

Right. Well based on that, DSi is winning for me. As I have no old GBA games as I didn't own a GBA and I hate really bright screens as it has a tendancy to give me eye ache for hours afterwards... I have averaged sized hands for a Man, so I guess I would be ok with the DS Lite.

the DSi has a camera, online, more RAM, and no backwards compatability.
