    Default Tsunami (MUD)

this is definitely THE best rpg/game out there, though it is a mud and can have a VERY steep learning curve, as it is entirely text-based. if you can get past that, there isnt another game that can compare.

the pk system is second to none, best pk/pvp you will find.

tsunami features loads of quests, more items than you will ever get your hands on, and likely, more content than you will ever be able to complete.

the game also features over 65 highly customizable elaborate and detailed classes and it is entirely free.

anyhow, this game is absolutely worth checking out. hands down the best game i've ever played.

I used to play a MUD, then they PWIPE'd everyone. I swore after that I would never play again.

And MUDs are dying out. I wish they would just move into the "non-existent" category of games that continue to suck.

Yeah, I'm pretty bitter since my character that took me over 4 years to completely level was wiped in a matter of seconds.

well, it was definitely mentioned that you have to be able to get past the fact that it is a "text based" game. which is without question out of date, and not really debatable.
but rest assured, the game is good. and worth checking out. not bs'in when i say it is the best game ive played, which im sure comes off as ridiculous as it is a mud.

its all chill though, check it out, or dont. i honestly dont really expect many people to try it, or even if they do try it to continue playing. but it is definitely worth checking out, even if you are skeptical. and to the fella who had his char pwiped, that blows but that wouldnt happen on tsunami, at least. not anytime soon, the game has been around for 20+ years and i dont see it going anywhere.

O O O Text based gameplay! I wanna do that instead of the lame stuff I do now. Controls and all that are lame, and consoles are no better. the way they make pretty pictures on your screen that move, and engage me in the story they tell with my help. I don't like that kind of stuff. All text all day for me...

Or I will just go play my OoT: Master quest GC disk I have..
    Yea that sounds good.

No reason to bash text-based games... they may not be your cup of tea, but it doesn't mean they don't have their place. Some people like them, and some people don't. No need to be sarcastic about it :/
