Redstone
Is there any way to have a redstone circuit that's always on and touching a pressure plate or button turns it off?
-
Buttons are timed I believe.
Use a lever, it's an on-off switch. Stick with a stone under it.
-
You can set it next to a lever, and a button, leave the lever on, therefor activating the redstone, and when you press the button, for the moment it will shut off.
-
can i do that using a redstone torch instead of the button? I say this because there's a cave, with a secret entrance, and i wanna be able to push a button or whatever on the inside, go through the door, then leave and have it close behind me.
-
How can you move bricks? And if you want it to be automaticly closed, just use one button on each side of the door, or if torches can be de-activated and reactived, then use that.

I have sticky pistons with bricks attached to them, so when the circuit is on, the pistons are extended and the blocks are covering the entrance. But I only want to be able to open the door from the inside. A lever, i would have to turn off myself. buttons dont last long enough

Hm...
I can't think of anything else, as pads go down the second you step off of them...
Try looking for some redstone mods...

nah, I got it to work. you just gotta be super fast when leaving or it'll crush you haha.
-
Alright, kool!
But as for the crushing, can't do anything about it, unless you get super smart with the redstone and pull the floor away for a split second. :P

nah, it does half a heart damage, so, it's not bad.
