Default Missing something and losing my mind!

So here is the deal. I had been gone for a year prior to February of this year. My hubby is one of those people who likes to come home and just **** **** up (move something from one place to a place he thinks it should be, when I put it in that other place for a reason!) drives me nuts! It is like he had so ability to pin point the item that I need in the next hour or whatever... So on with it. When I left I thought I knew where I put everything. I swear I remember seeing the item I am looking for in my closet, but the bad thing is I just recently cleaned out my closet and don't remember if it was in there when I cleaned it out. It could of been moved by either me or him. So my question to all of the forum is, when you can't find something what do you do to find it?

I usually tear through everything.... Then dread the clean up... Btw I am trying to find my rollercoaster tycoon pc game. I wanted to know if all of the cds for 2 and 3 were in it... and maybe install and play it...

When I can't find something, I think about how much I need it. If I really need it, I just comb through my unorganized room. If I don't really need it, I forget about it and if it's cheap enough, I just buy it again.

I do that with Batteries a lot, when I can't find batteries I don't bother looking. But if it's the TV remote...MUST FIND.

I gave up, but in the process I realize that our house needs an over haul of cleaning which I yelled at him and I think he gets it? We are not "messy" per say but we do have a lot of stuff! He said the reason why he picks up things and moves them is because he hates clutter. I don't see how my car keys laying on a empty table (or even next to my purse) is cluttered? Anyhow, I will find the game just not going to happen today... But Fall cleaning is going to be in order!

I hate when this happens. I do it to myself more than anyone, though. Always looking for sweaters, phone, iPod, games, guitar picks, car keys....till I look where they're supposed to be...usually clean-up properly, and wind up losing it...I hate how my brains work.

If you're totally desperate for the game, just torrent it. I'm not saying illegally use it with a keygen and stuff, only do it if you've got the CD key handy. I've had to do this a few times over the last couple computers with Diablo 2 and Warcraft 3...had the keys, but the games were too scratched to install. Had to do it until Blizzard made it so you could download it from them. $15 for a useless CD key that comes with the CDs? No thanks. Then even if I give the key to someone else, they need the CDs I have to play it!

That is the problem... Everything is in that one stupid box... Including the keys for them thanks but if I did that it would have to be completely illegally done... I will find it, just after I do some organized cleaning. Gahhh... Why do I have so much stuff?!

I rarely lose anything :P Well, actually I couldn't find my Return of the King DVD when I was looking for it last month but it's probably still packed from when I moved last. Important things though, or the things I couldn't easily replace, I always know where they are.

That could be because I don't have very much stuff, though.. I tend to throw out the things I don't need; I can't stand clutter.

A Billy bookcase is exactly what you need my friend

I loose stuff pretty often in this organized chaos of mine. I loose things when others "clean" up in the house. One bad habit about me is when I look for things I can look in the same place several times even if I know its not there
